@linknet

Thank you

I checked and each of the arrays are parsed correctly. Moving on to the image creation now.

That’s where I suspect the problem lies.

@linknet

When DrawBox is called it seems:

Func _GDIPlus_GraphicsDrawText is not working. I checked and all the data is being passed through properly. Its not getting drawn for some reason on my system.

So now im thinking its something with gdiplus.dll or something

-

@linknet

I found the issue! The font Arial Narrow was not being drawn for some reason. I changed it to arial and everything worked.

Will look for a smaller font. Maybe I need to install the font on the machine for some reason.

-

@gbracer08

Well found.

When I wrote it I assumed that Arial Narrow was a Windows 10 standard system font. I discovered later, when working on another application, that it isn’t and is installed with Microsoft Office amongst other things. The best thing would be to just install Arial Narrow although you say you have some licensing issues with that.

-

@linknet

I also can’t find the font anywhere to download and install. I would take that route also but none of my machines have the font. I compiled the source for 64 bit and used a different font that fit and looks good for now. Thank you for all your help as I had to dissect the script and see what it was doing. It is actually really complex. <img src=“/plugins/nodebb-plugin-emoji/emoji/android/1f44d.png?v=1g16vn91q2r” alt=“” class=“not-responsive emoji emoji-android emoji–+1” />

@gbracer08

It did get a bit complex.

It may not look any better with the correct font but you won’t get any overrun with the text being wider than the boxes.

https://www.mediafire.com/file/ah305serpu5tyg0/arial-narrow.zip/file

@linknet

thanks for the link

for dunc profile for my cougar do I just put the dx config for the joystick at the end of your profile?

I have all the touch working great but just wanted to make sure I’m doing the right thing

-

@gbracer08

You just add any DX commands to the end of the “BMS - Ice’s Helios Profile.key” file.

-

@Todd1215 Thanks for the explanation. <img src=“/plugins/nodebb-plugin-emoji/emoji/android/1f609.png?v=1g16vn91q2r” alt=“” class=“not-responsive emoji emoji-android emoji–wink” /> <img src=“/plugins/nodebb-plugin-emoji/emoji/android/1f44d.png?v=1g16vn91q2r” alt=“” class=“not-responsive emoji emoji-android emoji–+1” />

I just updated to -12 and my setup has stopped working - no touch is registering! Has anyone else got an issue since the update(s)?

Could this be an upgrade to the latest Helios version? My Android version is pretty old, has Helios dropped versions from its support?

I have a couple of tests I can do, just in case I’ve made a mistake somewhere - will report back tomorrow evening.

TANX
Critical

-

@CriticalMass

The only changes in the latest version of Helios are the addition of a range of user controls, which wouldn’t have the effect that you mention.

-

Im thinking of adding in some real Cougar MFD frames and ICP.

Is there an easy way to move some of the panels to a different monitor. My idea is to run 2 touchscreens, but want to basically move some of the panels to the lower monitor where I can have the center panel and kneeboards, to allow room for some larger MFDs. I can’t figure out how to unlock things to move them around.

-

@gbracer08

These two buttons are lock and unlock all:

So just unlock and select everything and then cut and paste to the new location. All the links within a panel are usually preserved but any links to other panels will be lost and will have to be recreated.

Greetings Helios Team -
Patiently waiting here for your next big profile update for 4.36, but in the mean time, what needs to be changed in the current profile (and/or bin folder) to direct the F-16 profile to reference 4.36 instead of 4.35. I have edited the Pathnames.ini file, but it does not seem to fix anything. What am I doing wrong??
Cheers,
Jolly -

Editing the PathNames.ini isn’t required, it will just get overwritten with the correct pathnames once the profile starts.
Just make sure that the key file is correctly selected as per the original setup guide and it should all still work.
The update for any additional features in 4.36 will have to wait until I return from holiday, date as yet unknown but may be a while.
