Ukraine theatre?
-

@Aragorn so if korea war break out again, will u stop playing this game?

-

I know it may be a bit too soon for this topic.

Yep. You’re correct on your first point for sure.

-

korea is too small, i practise air refuel hard, but never use it in campaign.<img src=“/plugins/nodebb-plugin-emoji/emoji/android/1f616.png?v=n15mefgnel8” alt=“” class=“not-responsive emoji emoji-android emoji–confounded” />

Then adjust your fuel load so that you will need it. Put less tanks on. Tank for 1000 lbs. Make Busan your squadrons base. There are many ways to make tanking viable in Korea theatre. We tank all the time in Korea campaign.

-

@Icarus no, the fuel i spent on rendezvous is enough to fly home.
HQ always send KC-10 patrol on south of S.Korea. if i fly there at 21k feet, i can land in any airport instead (descent save alot fuel).

-

@Gear5 point is you can refuel in KTO campaign no problem. As I told you make fuel load smaller no tanks home base Busan then Frag a tanker wherever you want one. Guaranteed you will need a tanker if you strike in North Korea. There is plenty of ways to tank in KTO. I do it all the time. You dont need a new theatre you just need to learn how to use the one you already have.

-

@Icarus that is not real, the main goal is beating enemy, win the war. load smaller fuel is not any commander would do.
putting myself in a dangerous situation, play victim card, is not a real soldier style.

-

@Aragorn so if korea war break out again, will u stop playing this game?

What do you mean “break out again”…? You are cognisant with regard to modern history…?

You are aware that the war has never ended…? You do grasp the notion of armistice…?

Currently - however - there are fewer babies being shredded by indiscriminate fire into maternity wards.

So - your false equivalence is as pointless as me bothering to respond to you again.

The Gorn.

P.S. You want it so bad…? Go to GOG and get yourself European Escalation.

-

+1 for such a theater but will need to be a 128 segments theater. Ukraine is very big and doesn’t fit at 64seg area, so it must be like EMF - POH.
but sure it’s a must…
this is a 128 seg area for example:

LOL how do we add images to our posts?

-

@Icarus that is not real, the main goal is beating enemy, win the war. load smaller fuel is not any commander would do.
putting myself in a dangerous situation, play victim card, is not a real soldier style.

Then move to Busan and frag Deep Strike up north if you want to tank. Thats realistic. Or tank for practice and take on 1000 lbs thats realistic. Or dont fly Korea campaign fly in Balkans campaign where there are many long flight options. BTW, complaining that things aren’t perfect for you is not “soldier style” either. Just sayin.

Gentlemen.

It’s time to keep us serious now, Gentlemen.

I am with the Gorn.
Please never forget what war really means and is made of, and who always pay its blood fierce bills - innocents, women, children.

And we have currently a huge lot of theaters to be happy for and have fun with too.
Until the real great brand new Falcon will be released, at least - but this will be another story soon.

With best regards.

-

@Jackal

+1 It’s way too early, tho once war will be over and 4.37 will be out then such a theater (and Georgia bumped up to 4.37 standard too) would be most welcome.

-

@Aragorn Darn , ur’right… “war… war never changes”

'Ere’s fifty there won’t be any mushrooms

-

What do you mean “break out again”…? You are cognisant with regard to modern history…?

You are aware that the war has never ended…? You do grasp the notion of armistice…?

what? so u don’t play KTO now?
Somalia was bombed by USA 2 weeks ago, how much u care?
F-16 is a killing machine, i won’t pretend i don’t aware that.
F-16 kill ppl like MIG does, killing european women is no different from killing asian women.
i can play korea theatre, taiwan theatre, mid east theatre, same as ukraine theatre.
they are all human, no one is more noble.

-

In Ukraine, as Gorn said, yes. Around Middle-East regularly too. I never designed a full campaign in ITO. Not inspired. No wonder.

@Gear5 I do understand the points that you are making.
In fact - everything you say is valid.
Your timing - however - is invalid.

Make a fat wife joke and everybody laughs.
But - try to not tell the fat wife joke at her funeral.

It is not your desire to fly a theatre that is being called into question.
It is your level of empathy.
Homo sapiens sapiens - as a social species - do best when members can “read the room”.

I have come to understand that English may not be your first language…?
It is terribly unfair of me to debate with you in a language which is not your first.
I applaud your English, and I am SURE that I could not debate with you in your primary language.
I would not be able to make a single point.

So - good on you for making your points; good on you for being multi-lingual; good on you for sticking to your guns.

All the best to you, Gear.

-

@Aragorn yep, u r right, bad timing.
but when is good time? 1 year later? 2 years later? that would be another argument then.
there is no universal standard.
yes, i speak chinese.

-

but when is good time?

Definitely not while the actual conflict is still happening and the outcome and ramifications for not only the Ukrainian people but also the rest of Europe is largely unknown.

-

@SOBO-87 whaddya mean “rest of the europe” ?

This isn’t some Tom Clancy “Red storm rising” for teenagers scenario about conquering all of europe and island., it is just “pushback”, like they say “special operation”., with dire consequences, as war can be.
They (Russians) are just gonna put back “iron-curtain” and we’re back at sqaure one… who knows , maybe another “Berlin wall”… who knows…

-

@white_fang
Well not going into politics, but this “pushback” would directly affect something like 100 millions of people, living in several countries being EU and NATO members.
Leaving them to the Russkies would also undermine NATO credibility, which would be bad news for Germany too, because if it’s not worth to defend Warsaw, Prague or Vilnus then why would it be worth be worth to defend Berlin. And even if so, then any doubt might encourage Russians to try.
Also keep in mind China is carefully observing and taking notes. If western countries would show weakness then I’d expect huge problems on far east soon after.

So current affairs most likely have quite global consequences, so lets better play it right.

Also it would affect me quite personally as I’d have no other option than stand for my country with gun in hand.

-

I believe that the ideal is to wait for the war to unfold and then discuss the scenario and objectives. This way we will know all the strategies used by the two nations throughout the conflict! for now all the information is confusing. if you understand me
