Sorry Please, Am Having Problem With The ILS Bad Weather Training BMS 4.36.
-
@ericfa2a please can you make a video of your ils landing in Falcon BMS 4.36 let me see please. Thank you
-
@Sniper-0 Yes, it’s the same for me. The Instrument vector instructions lead you to abort the landing because they put you too far away from the landing runway.
I have also wanted to land in the maverick TE in bad weather after launching the two missiles and also in this case, the ATC landing instrument vector of the dedicated airport (waypoint 13 i think) were too inaccurate to put me in good condition to finally land and i was told to abort.
I think there is just something going wrong. I will try in campaign to see if this problem occurs also.
Edit : i will try to make a video but i’m not good for these things
-
@ericfa2a OK Sir, Thank You
-
-
@Micro_440th Also – the docs in BMS-Training.pdf still have the flight coming in to runway 31L … maybe swap the wind direction around, in the TE, for that setup approach to make more sense.
-
@airtex2019 Yes will be also fixed.
-
The problem here is wind is too strong and therefore in order to abide for ATC vector like fly heading 230 you need to fly 270 heading to get your trajectory 230
This is a bit tricky for a training mission and the U1 will reduce the wind
-
@Micro_440th alright, thanks a lot for the hardwork
-
@Mav-jp thank you all
-
@Mav-jp I am joining this thread with a related question.
Is this a limitation of the sim that ATC does not take the wind into account ? That would mean that in BMS, when ATC tells you “Fly heading 340” it means in fact “Fly Track 340”. Am I correct ?
IRL ATC will compensate for the wind and give almost exclusively headings (this I can assure, you, that is my job IRL although in the civilian world ).I’ve never taken the time to really dive in BMS (although I’ve installed all versions and followed along) but I think this time I will. The ATC system has always impressed me (watching many videos) and looks like one of the best out there, including civilian sims where you usually have to choose between a crappy ATC, or an external software, usually too complex where you fight to simply understand what the software expects from you.
Best regards.
Charles

I cooked a fix for this
ATC now vectors taking into account wind
-
also make sure your altitude is not too high otherwise the ILS will not show properly. Make your speed is around 230kts at 10nm & keep approaching around 2000-3000fts.
-
Daegu ATC file is busted
Will be fixed in U1
-
@Mav-jp Awesome, thanks a lot.
You just made my day…twice.
First because of this great addition.
Second because you might have edited your post. Here is the text I received in my mailbox from your post:“I cooked a fox for this”
Now I know BMS coding is sometimes like voodoo magic, but I just thought it was a bit extreme …

@Sniper-0 I suffer not only with the radar approach, but also intercepting the DME ARC method. Correct me if I am wrong, the course can be set using analog knob at the right side of EHSI, that’s what the last comm and nav book said. I try to turn it, click it using mouse, wheel, and I hear the sound click click clik, but, the course number at the EHSI still the same. Then try to input the course at DED T-ILS, yes the CDI at some point move, but, the course number stucked at the same. I feel lame to be honest, cause this is the first flight simulator I play, and stuck with it, trying to figure it out, where did I missed the instruction from all the PDF that I’ve been finishing read before I even launch the game. After tired trying, I see some youtube video with the old HSI, he turn the course knob, but I can’t do the same with this 4.36. And I did try the radar vector approach, for 5 days without any sleep at all, and all missed. I feel so lame to be honest. Until I came and read this, and finally I can sleep. Anyone, can help me, how to turn the course knob at the new EHSI, or at least explain to me, how to read the course, after inputing into the DED? Cause it never change. If I read the comm and nav book with the old HSI, I understand about course and radial in relative with tacan, but with this EHSI at training mision, even I do try flying Ground Ops and input course, I’d messed up because can’t see the course number. Yet the analog knob is there and give sound feedback when turn, but the course still the same. I am sorry before guys, I do really newbie into this flight simulator, the first one, and already confused because the book and the actual game is so different Any help?
Thanks in advance

@GP1508
First check if you have this set properly in the config file:set g_bMouseWheelKnobs 1 // Allows mouse wheel to turn knobs in 3d pit
The file is in this path: \Falcon BMS 4.36\User\Config\falcon bms.cfg

@jayb already, the knob when I turn will give feedback sound like tick tick tick tick tick, but nothing move… but the heading knob, when turn it, the heading bug is move… I guess I have to pass this not possible mission because my cockpit damage tho… ahahahaha

I made the video a month ago. I tried many times but this was lucky case. The cross wind is so strong in this mission. The detail explanation is in the Youtube.

Again, the mission is broken and will be fixed in U1.
