How to go about elevation data on a new map?

Hi guys. Las night I created a little map just as a testbed and learning how to do it. Currently I only know the Terrain editor tool. I can modify each tile’s elev, but that seems daunting task in a real bigger map. So, the TE’s doc talks about height maps and PS, that is great, I understand that.
Question:- How should I create the e0 or ELV file ?
- What do I do then with a height map? How do I work with it
- The proccess should be, for each texture Tile, there should be a height map Tile ?
- Where should I take the Height maps and the texture Tiles from? I suspect there is some texture extractor from a public source, but I don’t know what is used here.

That’s nice but just to be clear, this way of creating theaters will disappear with next falcon release…
It takes at least a year to create a basic theater from start unless you’re being helped.

@MaxWaldorf Well, no then. I knew it would take a long time but if it is just about to disapear, it won’t make sense.
Is there anything I could do to be productive with the game?
I have modded IL2, MSFS, FSX and Xplane in the past. I am a professional developer and 3D artist/hobbyst.
I wanted to invest some time doing something interesting.
I assume there is nothing I could do right?
By the way, thanks for warning me and stopping me from a big time investment.

@Ryszard next terrain building will be hopefully detailed and not lost in th deeps of falcon 4.0
Don’t know at what point anything will be released.,.
But if you have talent for 3D, we’re always looking for talented artists…
