Solved AGM-65D Uncage
-
First of all, I would like to thank the BMS team and I am really enjoying BMS after the release of 4.36 .
When I did the practice mission, I could see the WPN page without an uncage after 3 minutes of warm-up.
AGM-65D in 4.36 doesn’t need an uncage before it launches?

@silverius Confirm it was D, not G (not sure about L).

D was correct. And I made TE mission with AGM-65D and could see WPN page without uncage.

Yes that has probably changed since 4.35
The status of the dome will vary.

@LorikEolmin - I did ask about this for the new MAVL, and got feedback that CAGE, scan, and SLAVE are not mechanized for the L. Hope that gets fixed - everywhere, as appropriate.

@Stevie AGM65L cover is removed before flight
-
@silverius I realize you probably started in flight.

@Tumbler31 - yes. In my experience with USN/USMC ords and ops, the covers are NEVER used (I suspect they are only used on triple racks, and nobody I know of uses those)…but the diff with a laser MAV is that you need to CAGE the seeker if it is not actually in track in order to avoid damaging it by banging it around in flight under G. If you blow your pass and need to go around it should be CAGED for the go-around.
It also should be CAGED on initial selection, and you should have to uncage it - whereon it should SLAVE, or go into an autonomous or commanded scan mode - much like an LST/TGP.
So the current model is a bit “incomplete”.

Thank you so much! I have read it and I understood now ^^

Some interesting reading, thanks. I’ve felt that the entire maverick firing process was much to cumbersome.
