Solved Steerpoints cycling on DEST with autopilot enabled

Version

26181Detailed Description
This problem was first reported by white_fang in other thread (https://forum.falcon-bms.com/post/344694) but I think this issue deserves a dedicated thread.Preconditions:
Steerpoints are in Auto mode and autopilot STRG SEL mode is enabled and user is in DED DEST page (LIST 1)Actual behaviour:
When aircraft overflies the steerpoint, the steerpoints in DED DEST page cycle upwards very fast (~3,5s per 99 steerpoints) multiple times (about 6) and finish on a seemingly random one and the INS navigation steerpoint is not advanced. Aircraft turns back to the steerpoint and when it approaches it, the behaviour repeats itself.
When during this cycling pause is enabled, then the cycling seems to be endless, i.e. didn’t stop cycling after 10 minutes that is when I exited 3D.Example files

n.a.Reproducibility Procedure
- Start attached TE.
- Change steerpoint mode to auto (ICP 1, SEQ)
- Engage autopilot ALT HOLD mode and STRG SEL mode
- Go to DEST page (LIST 1)
- Wait till aircraft overflies the steerpoint 3
Expected Behavior
INS steerpoint should automatically change from 3 to 4, without affecting steerpoint shown on the DEST page. -
