Man-Range knob for TGP, also affects GM-mode FCR
-
(but not vice versa)
In AG mode… with TGP as SOI, I notice zooming in also causes the FCR gain to increase (increased background noise).
The problem is not symmetrical… moving SOI back to FCR, and reducing the gain, doesn’t zoom-out the TGP.
I’m invoking the SimRangeKnobUp/Down callbacks. (Repros with both hotas buttons and keybd bindings.)
Anyone else seeing this?
Quick repro is to jump into TR#14 (foul weather mavs), and target the ships, to boresight the mav.

Affirm. I had the same issue. But I mostly fly A/A, so I was not able to reproduce yet. -
In general that’s correct in that the man range knob affects the GM gain by about 20% of the scale (so-called fine control) and it also changes the zoom of the TGP. What may not be correct is this happening all the time regardless of SOI. I’m pretty sure it’s correct that TGP zoom only occurs on TGP SOI when manipulating the MAN RNG knob. What’s probably also true and not being simulated is GM fine gain only happening when FCR is SOI. I’d have to look it up.

ps, I notice that if I hide the FCR (switch to another view on that MFD, or blank it etc) then the conflict doesn’t happen.
