How to apply this HD mod to other terrains

Re: F-16 HD cockpit
How can you apply this mod on other terrains or is this one purely made for the Korea one?
-
Hello, copy and paste all files in koreaobj hires folder in all theaters you prefer.
Best Regards
-
@dema I’ve tried that by copying them into Georgia\TerrData\Objects\KoreaObj but it doesn’t apply it.
-
@flyingbeaver Dema said the KoreaObjHiRes folder, not the KoreaObj folder.
If a texture is found in the KoreaObjHiRes folder it will use that and won’t search for it in the KoreaObj folder.
So put them in the hi res one and try again.
-
@unkindled that’s what I did. Do they need to be put on a special location or just at the root of the theatre.
-
@flyingbeaver Are you just replacing them or are you using JSGME to apply them?
Vattila’s textures just need to be placed inside the KoreaObj_HiRes folder of each theater to work. Nothing else.
-
@unkindled Just copied the folder into the theatre. No other tools used.
-
@flyingbeaver You just drop the included .dds files on the KoreaObj_HiRes of the theater you want. How is it not working?
-
@unkindled I wish i knew.
-
@unkindled This is how i currently have my georgia map set up:
And this is the result:
-
@flyingbeaver So, I had never checked the Georgia theater but as it seems it doesn’t have the KoreaObj folders inside the …/TerrData/Objects folder. I assume maybe it uses the assets from the default KTO theater.
EDIT: Just tested it out. Georgia uses whatever assets KTO has. Put the HD mod on KTO and it works.

That can be related about the tdf file in theater definition, if the theater points to kto database then my previous reply is wrong. So follow the last suggestion and use kto hires folder. The tdf file can be changed with notepad as a normal text file but more complicated.
Cheers

@dema what do I need to check or adjust in that file?
-
@flyingbeaver I suggest don’t touch those kind of files, I’d prefer to do a backup of koreaobj_hires folder instead and add new textures there in the new one, you have always the koreaobj folder anyway.
