Solved Inefficient loft launch of CBU 105
-
Build
4.36 U0 - Build 26181Detailed Description
From NOE, CBU 105 launch on markpoint made at TGP.
The aircraft’s firing control unit authorizes lofting and the ammunition is effectively launched… but still hits too short.
The ammunition has been put under tension and the MFD displays ready.Pictures

Not applicableReproducibility Procedure
- Joint TE .
- Lofted shot from the NOE of a CBU 105 on a markpoint
Expected Behavior
- ammunition on target
- or no authorization to fire if the parameters are not good.
Observations.
This works most often with a GBU 31 which is heavier and therefore has more inertia. Same “shooting table” for these two bombs even though they are different ? -
When I see the ACMI file, the bomb dropped at the condition, cas 593, alt 1200’, alpha 20 degs (climb). The CBU105 ballistics characteristics is almost same in BMS. A long time ago, i made ballistics graph of Mk82. The old link in old BMS forum is here and still existing. With the your bomb release condition, the bomb distance is around 3.5 nm. You need to close more to the target and better to start lofting at 4 nm. Please see the youtube for low level lofting bombing,

Hello
The CZ was performed after the target was entered in markpoint. But it came back when the TGP lost the visual on the target
If it is because the drift (CZ) comes back that I miss (while the bomb is supposed to go on the coordinates of the target entered in markpoint, it is not guided by the TGP that I do not touch anymore), then maybe there is another problem.
Is it normal for the TGP to drift when it is no longer touched (after the initial markpoint and the initial CZ)? This happens systematically when the TGP loses the visual on the target: the plane displays CZ again. No understandable logic at least for me to this : nothing new designated.
The only way to make a pass correctly without seeing the CZ appear when the TGP loses the target because of the hills is to turn it off, after having entered the markpoints before the attack pass.
If this is normal OK, but it is surprising.

Well …
Probably a bad contact in my throttle that makes the slider move without my will. I tried with my old one, and it (CZ appearing) does not happen again.
Sorry for the lost time.

@Rouge1512 not lost time to be sorry about. It’s called troubleshooting. And you have answers to solve a problem. Win win
