Raptor Mach 1 Throttle Wheel Mapping
-
Hi All,
I have a Raptor Mach 1 joystick. I absolutely love it. I have managed to map how I want except for one thing. There are two wheels on the throttle, one large on at the top and a small one on the side. I would like to use these as the radar elevation and the zoom wheel. However I can’t get the key editor in BMS to see them when I turn them. Any ideas or does anyone have experience setting this up?
Thanks -
@open-flankler are they analog axes – or digital encoder wheels?
(Do they move smoothly and have a defined min/max extent … or do they turn freely, maybe with little ticks, like a mousewheel?)

@airtex2019 thank you for reply.
The move smoothly although there seems to be a light detent in the middle of travel. It sorts of arrests the movement but not stop it. There is no click or button push. The joystick settings in Windows recognises them but they are not seen by the BMS configurator. Windows sees them as sliders, a bit like the throttle.

@open-flankler Yep, those are analog-axes then.
You can assign them to some analog functions in BMS, like HUD brightness, radar antenna elevation, or wheelbrakes… or even control FOV smoothly.
But if you want to invoke a keybd/button style function, you’ll have to use external software … like AutoHotkey, Joy2Key or InputMapper.

@airtex2019 I was not aware of these. Thank you, I will check them out.
