4.36 TGP Cursor Jump
-
Is anyone else experiencing a cursor jump, for lack of a better title, of their TGP Cursor?
When trying to lock up a target in the TGP, I first have to deal with a “jump” of the cursor off of the SPI, and then I’m able to move the cursor to where I need it.
I’ve a couple of videos showing slewing the TGP Cursor in 4.36 and 4.35:
4.36
4.35

It’s due to how altitude is calculated. When the TGP is slaved to a point it just aims at it any height. When TGP starts to slew it has its own internal idea of what the terrain under LOS is. If your steerpoint ELEV isn’t exactly the terrain elevation you’ll see this jump.

Hi, Frederf. Is this a bug, or normal functionality?

Why are you not ground stabilizing the TGP first?

Isn’t the TGP automatically ground stabilized when it locks onto the SPI?
Regardless, the issue seems to have been fixed in Update 3; there is no more “jump”.
