Tiger Spirit Campaign... easy ... really ???
-
Hi all,
Just to have you point of view but i find that this campaign is no more an easy campaign when flying in a F16 cockpit.
From the start, you fight some SU-30MKK, SU-35 and, worst, J-20 that you can lock only at FOX2 range nearly.
I haven’t in mind such opposition in the previous versions of BMS but it’s true that i launched Rolling Fire more usually.

@ericfa2a you’ll also face them in RF, including naval J-15s

Hi all,
I think this is a good thing :
Other changes:
- Updated Falcon BMS.cfg
- Added g_bExternalTrackIROrientation in cfg file
- Campaign Tiger Spirit is now easier as per original design
New BMS pilots need an entry level campaign, else they can be discouraged, after learning all the avionics systems, to don’t be effective in a campaign environment too hard for them.

Honestly, (as of 4.35), I always found TS harder in the air. You get a lot of enemy 4th gen jets on day 1.
I always found RF easier, where you definitely face a wall of MiGs, but they’re all MiG-21, MiG-23 and only a few MiG-29A.
But I believe the ground campaign of TS is easier

J-20’s are in the stock BMS campaigns now? That’s too bad, I don’t think they should be there. That will cause an imbalance IMHO. Modern F-16’s have all kinds of toys that we don’t yet have in BMS (AESA radar, link-16 etc.). I realise that the J-20 is also limited with regard to realistic modelling, but you’re basically putting an F-16 with the tech of a few years ago against a brand new jet that is just now becoming operational. It’s nice to have these new jets in the db and put them in TE’s. But I don’t think they belong in campaigns. Just my 2 cents…

@Tomcatter31 said in Tiger Spirit Campaign... easy ... really ???:
just now becoming operational.
China has several squads with J-20s already.
But of course, compared to F-16s it is “just now”.Anyway, agree with you completely about the J-20, 5th generation, etc in Korea.

@tiag Ah indeed. I see on wiki that they have been operational since 2017. I haven’t followed the J-20 development that closely. But the point about imbalance still is true I think.
