Solved Radar cursor not working in campaign mode - other modes work perfectly

Version 4.36.1
Saitek X55 stick, throttle and rudder.
Radar cursor mapped to throttle hat switch.
Works perfectly in dogfight and instant action modes, but does not work in any campaign or theatre.
All other mapped controls to the TQS work perfectly in all modes.
All controls show as correctly mapped in setup and the hat switch works perfectly in other games.
Very weird - I’m sure I must have missed something - Any ideas?

What were you trying to do and in what ode were you and what was your SOI ?

@spooky It’s from spawn in on any campaign mission. SOI changes don’t affect the non moving cursor and assigned key bindings for the cursor don’t work either.
When you go into instant action or dogfight or setup though, all the bindings work fine.

A-A, A-G, Nav etc all have the same result.

Are you on the ground when you go into campaign 3d?

@xiaotianxia Ok so the weirdness factor just went up. Once airborne in a campaign I get radar cursor up, left and right back. Down is still missing but, full radar cursor control works on the key board.
But, On TQS I then loose Dogfight, master missile and cancel bindings.
Everything still works in instant action and dogfight… it’s just campaigns that become strange…

@LorikEolmin Only running the Taiwan theatre, no other mods or changes etc.

Then try in KTO, and if all good post in Taiwan? … And once again, aircraft.

@LorikEolmin Just tried KTO and it has the same issue. I’m going to do a full reinstall and see what happens!

Ok so I just did a full uninstall/reinstall including original falcon4. Updated to 4.36.1. No mods or theatres. Still the same issue.
Any ideas?

@wat680 This is the correct behavior:
On ground - radar cursor does not move.
In the air - radar cursor moves . -
@masudanimal Hi - Ok I didn’t know that but it doesn’t solve why cursor down, dogfight and missile modes would suddenly stop working, once airborne.
It almost seems like the key and button bindings get forgotten?

Ok so I have nailed this down a bit more, 100% throttle results in the loss of radar cursor down control and 50% or less throttle gives back MRM/DF/Cancel control on TQS.
Is there a way I can limit the range of travel of the throttle axis?

@wat680 start / run “Joy.cpl” to test if your controller is functioning properly, in Windows?

Good news! (but not for me) the wires in the right side of the throttle are cracked and depending on the throttle position different buttons have connectivity.
Apparently a common fault with the x55 throttle quadrants.
Oh well - time to upgrade to winwing!
