@Blue-Sky Many thanks for this! I’m very grateful to Outpost for writing this guide, and to anyone else who contributed.
Do you know if it’s possible to request new acronyms to be added to future editions? And if so, should such requests be posted here or over on Veterans-Gaming?

You are very welcome.
If you know of any acronyms that you feel should be added, please post them here.
Thank you

You might add FUBAR. It usually happens just when you think everything is fine. Example: first Baltic mission I flew everything went just fine until I contacted the tower 30 miles out. Pulled the throttle back to idle, heard a bang, looked back over my left shoulder to see I was leaving a nice dark smoke trail. Tried to restart and found it was FUBAR. Called for SAR and ejected.

I’ve been wondering what a SCAR mission is. The acronym is used in the training mission for Maverick missiles. I think the “A” and the “R” may stand for “Armed Reconnaissance”, but I’m not sure.
That mission also introduced the term “HARTS”, which I didn’t understand until I checked this Acronym Guide, and learned that one of its definitions is HArdened ArTillery Shelter.

Strike Coordination and Reconnaissance
SCAR missions use aircraft to detect targets for dedicated AI missions in a specified geographic zone. The area may be defined by a box or grid where worthwhile potential targets are known or suspected to exist, or where mobile enemy ground units have relocated because of ground fighting.

doesn’t have the most important one…
RTFM
and
AA-TR ain’t air to air tanker refueling? or training refueling. -
If this is supposed to be a BMS companion then OFM means Old Flight Model
NOT operator function model
AFM means advanced flight model, never was accurate flight model
Is missing HFFM which means high fidelity flight model

@Arty
Can you show me where the acronym (HFFM) is in the documentation? -
