Santa's wishlist for BMS

@MaxWaldorf I think the part about (this is not a request nor is it a complaint) was not read.
Sometimes it’s not that you don’t want to read, it’s that you don’t want to understand.
We will leave the post with the recommendation, in case someone wants to understand and in future versions can help, after all it is called a wish list.
Greetings and success.

Although the plane lights have been improved in 4.36, they are not bright enough or dazzling at night…which makes the detection of an aircraft or even the flight in close formation without NVG extremely difficult…
the improvement in 4.36 is really better with NVG but it is still imperceptible or low without NVG.: a flash in the night remains a pixel and that’s a pity according to me… -
Better Wingman AI
-
My santa wishlist for 4.37.
- More city building and better terrain with the new engine.
- Cow and horse, like other sim ^^.
- New AI voice sounds.
- Continue to improve ATC, for exemple ATC say to your flight, name of departure or arrival when is available. Or “Cobra 4-1, report Julop”, for visual recovery.
And whishlist for 4.3…+
- Rear seat for F16D
- KY58.
- KOTAR AI control, like ATC.
- Native training range theater with full AI controle, like NTTR.
- Full A10C.
- New GUI.
To finish, big up for BMS team ! You are awesone !!!
-
what about terain?
-
@vfp terrain is progressing but won’t be in next release
-
thank you for the answer
sorry to hear ,it is a pity -
@MaxWaldorf thanks for sharing with us an insight.
I totally understand the new terrain is not a trivial change; anyway looking forward to see whatever “surprises” new releases will bring -

sorry to hear ,it is a pityIf you prefere it to be included in next version, just wait few years more all other new stuff, so everything will be released at once … but much later.
That is possible. -
My only wish is quite simple (though probably not quite simple to code) : I wish my wingman didn’t follow my turn by turning in front of my plane, as though he had an owl-like neck.
-

It’s artificial?
-
@DeeJay
at this point besides VR that i am not interested (i like monitors better i want to be able to see joystick buttons and i have not searched it in depth and i dont thing that i wll use a headset on my head ever besides my motorcycle’s helmet:)) i cant imagine other new stuff that are prepared now , you know better than me, i ll just have to wait and see -

– Be careful. I heard the owl people were everywhere.
– Who ?
– OMG ! -

EDIT: and I just got it

Good evening, Gentlemen, and to the devs. in particular.
I just can’t recall at this moment if those have already been discussed in the past - and if so, my apologies - but I always wondered if radars can effectively spot and track me, independently or even in coordination with SAM batteries if present in the area.
I would also like the trees, buildings and other structures to one day actually be collidable.
Are those both asking too much for, perhaps? Thanks in advance for your attention anyway.
With best regards.

Thank you for your participation but just for your information a chock message or a light message or a canopy message etc is just 1 bit transfered and only when the status change . So saving them will save maybe 2 to 4 bits of bandwidth during the whole mp game ….
MP messages are closely monitored when we develop to minimize the consumption , for instance many AI aircrafts DOFS and switches position do not require MP traffic as a remote entity is run on each client which allow to determine the dofs and switches setup without mp communication
Player’s dofs are throttled so that not every move is transferred
There is a code that allows rough position updates or fine positions updates depending on the distance from the action
Radars antennas are throttled …
Weather parameters are not MP transfered during game as they use the same seed and code on each client so that they run same weather cloud positions and movements. Only when a new Fmap is loaded there is MP transfered
Etc etc…
You seem to think that BMS mp code is not setup to minimize traffic , while improvements are always the goal , be sure that a lot of things are already implemented . Beeing able to run online campaign with hundreds of units is a proof of this

One thing i like to see in bms is civil jets or other aircraft. Normaly the sky is filled with civ jets and in compair a hand full mill planes
Now all planes are mill or mill related.
I think it would be fun to do intercept mission where you got to search for the enemy between all those civ jets. Now if you see something flying on your radar you know its mill (friend or foe)I saw something simulair on dcs but those planes are flying like they are a fighter jet (last time i saw it few years ago, i dont follow dcs any more so i dont know the state it is in right now.) And prop planes fly way to fast . I think the bms crew can do a much better job on that one then they did (back then)
If its al ready in bms where can i find it?
I highly doubt you would see any civil aircraft in war environment

thank you for the answer
sorry to hear ,it is a pityNot a pity. The “next” BMS release wasn’t planned to be initially so it has only minor effect on terrain progress.
Terrain is actually progressing REALLY good right now, and I hope soon enough we will have a sort of an alpha version which can already be flown (Campaign wise) right, that is a start.
In oppose to what some may think (Also some internal guys of BMS), Terrain is NOT suppose to be perfect from first release, I’m planning an initial “flyable” version, and then we will improve after that. It will be faster than a “few years”, I assure you that.

This is a really fluffy one.
Can the flight assignments (AI) be done earlier? At the moment it seems to be around 30 minutes. Can you make it for 60 minutes?
Thirty mins is after my Ramp Start time.

Can you explain the relation to your ramp time and how it affects your experience?
