TrackIR Quit Working When Exit Orbit View
-
Good morning.
A few days ago I´ve had to reinstall the system
The problem I have is this:
Tack Ir working Ok
View Orbit (0 key)
Snap 3D Cockpit (3 Key)
Track Ir isn´t working in BMS, in Track Ir app I see is working Ok.Thank you
-
Is TrackIR working fine with other games you use?
-
Yes, if i start bms again, trackir runs ok, until I use 0 view.
Then trackir doesn’t works but if I make alt+tab i see trackir running on the trackir app.

Ok but when alt-tabbing are you able ti check the actual movimento of your head within the TrackIR manager? If it is tracking then the problem is with Falcon. I’m not at home at the moment but you could also check in the config options (Launcher) about TrackIR.

@Skorp What button do you have set to the Pause action of TrackIR? Is it possible that it’s the same button in BMS as your “Pause” action in TIR?

If I go back to padlock view, then track ir works ok

I’m a little confused… I thought surely
set g_bExternalTrackIR 0
was the key to this bug, but I can’t repro. (BUT note I don’t have actual TrackIR, just OpenTrack/freetrack running in fake-TIR mode… fwiw)And wait, isn’t g_bExternalTrackIR==0 the default, anyway? I don’t recall ever chaning it… and it was 0 in my cfg file.
Weirder… head-tracking DOES control the external view direction, when I hit [0] for orbit-view, even with g_bExternalTrackIR==0
Weirder still… I notice there’s another line in my cfg file:
set g_bExternalTrackIROrientation 1 // Enable the control of external camera view by TrackIR (default 1/true)
…which I don’t find mentioned anywhere in BMS-Technical-Manual.pdf – but if I change that to 0 then it does disable TIR in orbit view. (However I still can’t repro this bug… hitting [3] brings me back to cockpit with headtrackign working.)
It is late on a Friday. Am I drunk? Just 1 beer so I don’t think so. But it’s been a long, difficult week, so maybe.
