Keymapping lost by changed USB IDs
-
Dear mates.
since years I am flying with Falcon BMS and experience the following problem:
I own an old X45 HOTAS, the Thrustmasters MFDs and a TrackIR 4 device and a Saitek Pro Flight Rudder. These all I
have connected to an USB HUB in always the same sequence on after another. I experience since years, that sometimes the keyboard mappings (especially that ones of the MFDs) are lost and I have to reprogram than. Does somebody have a real solution for this problem and is there a chance to get this fixed in BMS – a feature I would
find extremely helpful. But maybe I do something wrong and somebody found a really always functioning workaround.Cheers, 73 and thanks, Stephan

@Phonon It’s all about
DeviceSorting.txt
… get things the way you like them, then make a snapshot backup copy of DeviceSorting.txt (and consider setting the file to readonly).You may need to open that file in Notepad.exe and move the lines around, to match the implied order in your key file. Especially for things like the MFD buttons… would be a pain to have to reprogram all those.

Thanks so much for the hint – I will check the file.
