Can someone teach me how to edit AWACS reply sound files?
-
Hey guys, I was thinking about a new project that I was looking to take up and I need to add some sound files for a TE mission that I am developing. My concept for this is to basically use the MISC radio commands that AWACS never uses to trigger custom sound files. I only need 3 working commands for this to work properly, but I have absolutely NO idea how to get this to work on BMS. Is there any way to actually add more sound files to BMS? I am thinking somewhere along the 30 second mark for each sound file.
Here is an example of what I am talking about.
38 second mark 0:38 is an example of the sound file I want to make.

I know it’s an old thread but I am looking for those informations…
I’ve recently added a new plane inside my BMS and it does have a new CT number.I have a small problem now:
If I radar lock the plane I’ve just added in-game and if I delcare it to the AWACS it will tell me if it is friendly or enenmy but I’ll have ‘Key Mike’ sound at the moment where it should said “ID is MiG23”I know it is because I have to edit the sound files. I’ve already did this for some weapons I’ve add in my game using this thread:
https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?29629-Radio-Launch-Calls-Editingquestions is in what Eval id of the evalFile.bin are stored the voice message for the airplanes types.
I’ve tried to find it by guessing using F4Talk95v1-0-0.csv file and doing some comparaison between the CT numbers and the ID of the sound but I didn’t managed to figure it out -
First, you need TlkTool
With it, you’ll be able to convert evalfile.bin to xml (just extract and run it in from a command prompt without arguments to find out how to use it).
Once you have that xml, you need to go to the <eval id=“77”>.
You need to add 2 new elements. This is how you get the IDs:
Single aircraft call: CT *2
Plural aircract call: CT *2 +1The values for them are in F4Talk95v1-0-0.csv. MiG-23 is 254. MiG-23s is 1346.
So lets say your new MiG-23 is CT 3956
<element evalelem=“7912” fragid=“254”><element evalelem=“7913” fragid=“1346”>Once you added those 2 new elements, just save and convert back to bin.</element></element></eval> -
