Does anyone use Elgato Stream Deck XL Advanced Stream Control . Thinking about getting one

To do the toggle function, you select System on the right, then HotKey Switch
You can define the first press and second press then, and assign an icon to each.
So first press gives G, second gives Alt G, have the mapped accordingly in my keyfile.

Would you please elaborate how to setup vjoy and Stream Deck to use DX commands? I have no experience with either one, but I have been contemplating getting a Stream Deck. A few outlined general steps would be much appreciated.
Thanks,

@greatcouloir its vers easy and simple. You install the software plugin to stream deck software as described on the homepage. You install vjoy and setup your virtual controler (amount buttons and axes.
In the stream deck software, simply define a button for vjoy (drag and drop), set id, set DX button number and finish.
After that, when you press this button, vjoy recognizes the button press. -
@greatcouloir Its not difficult at all. After you install and connect your stream deck you will need to install the vJoy plugin for stream deck.
- Install & configure streamdeck
- Install the stream deck plugin for vJoy from here
- Install vJoy & follow the instructions on the GitHub page to create the vJoy device
- Once you have stream deck buttons mapped to a DX button you can then assign them in BMS.
That’s the down and dirty on it.

@greatcouloir no the stream deck plugin I referenced is purely vJoy interface, so it just interacts with the vJoy device you are referencing. If someone was skilled and eager enough they could make a BMS stream deck plugin.

@Todd1215
@Cop23rdI’m wondering, why you need vjoy ?
In Stream Deck you can define Keys from your keyboard as “Hotkey”.
If the same keys are also defined in your BMS setup, then you can send them directly via the Stream Deck.Example:
In Stream Deck define a Hotkey “m”.
BMS will switch to “MRM Override”, when you press the corresponding button on the Stream Deck.I think vjoy might be helpful with the new Stream Deck Plus, where you have 4 Rotaries, which can be used hopefully as axis.
But even then in BMS several axis (may be all ?) can also be incremented or decemented via buttons. -
@Sunnny the biggest advantage is that you can press several buttons at the same time without keyboard problems.

Max - Thanks for your Streamdeck profile. Are there any special instructions on how to use this, or do we just import your file from the download?
I ask as there was another posting where the author mentioned adding a .key file to the Falcon BMS.cfg file so that the program would recognize the new controller. A bit confusing to me. I just want to add this without any regrets/problems to my original Falcon BMS program.
Thanks.

@Macman should be straight forward after import…

Thanks for the reply. As usual, I commented before I opened the txt file in your download. I’ll have a go at it this weekend.
