Question on Sqn Experience
-
Hi, I’d like to ask: how does the squadron experience in campaign work?
Why does the experience drop from “Elite” to “Reserves” when I task 2 flights of 4-ship missions, with Rookie selected as skill level for both flights?

@aelfewulf
lol nice find. I can reproduce.
It seems the experience of the squadron changes when you select pilots with different skills for two manually flights.

@tiag
Ok. Ty! -
Thanks for helping me reproduce the findings.
I also took a peek at DPRK. Their squadrons are all at Regs/Vets/Elite, and morale at High despite being whittled down to low single digits airframes.
In comparison my squadrons are all Reserves/Regs. Newly arrived squadrons drop from Elite to Regs/Reserves after a few manual taskings. Btw I do manual taskings for all fighter sqns.

@aelfewulf These are different things.
The air skill and SAM skill of the teams are set according to the campaign difficulty you have chosen.
The manual tasking effect on air skill is def not correct and the BMS team will correct that.In the meantime I suggest to choose high level of skills for your missions.

Thank you

yeah the best way is to REMOVE the option of skill chosing in campaign.
Indeed, there is a general distribution of skills dependant on the general AA skill in campaign engine.
From there the distribution is automatically used when Flights are fragged.
The fact we can chose skills in campaign fragging is therefore not in line with the way the campaign engine works. this option should be removed

Do squadrons gain experience over the course of a campaign?
Do squadrons lose experience with the loss of senior/experienced pilots?
