Question about AIM-7 guidance in the scenario where the ECM is turned on
-
Hi! thanks dev team for bringing the new ECM simulation .
I am still confused by the AIM-7 guidance in the scenario where the ECM is turned on.
Will it effect AIM-7 guidance when switch to XMT2 or XMT3 ?

That’s a good question sir!

AIM-7 guidance is only affected if your radar loses lock and/or fails to illuminate the target. So any scenario you can come up with that causes this is where you will lose your shot.

@JOKER_duke
The ECM degrade transmissions
Acording the manual, when you fire an AIM-120, the FWR antenna is OFF, that makes no degradation in trasmissionsBut in the manual is not clear if this sistems also work when you fire an AIM-7

Could you please specify which manual and page#? Thanks.

Yes AIM-7 does not appear to be mentioned…it uses Semi-Active guidance so should be like Stevie mentioned.
FWD antenna is only auto inhibited when firing an Active Radar missile.
I have not used AIM-7 for a while…would get a better idea testing it.
