Solved Crashing going into setup
-
Hi,
I’m using 4,37u2 and have just got a new 1440p monitor to upgrade from my older 1080p monitor. However, when I go into setup to change the resolution BMS itself crashes every time. It creates a crash text file which starts with:
“Falcon BMS.exe caused an EXCEPTION_BREAKPOINT in:
00000000D092CB69 KERNELBASE.dll, RaiseException()+105 byte(s)
Exception handler called in CRT Invalid Parameter Handler”Does anyone have any suggestions? I don’t have any mods loaded
Many thanks

Hi Tumber31,
Unfortunately deleting the dsp file didn’t work. Please see below for the dump file. Any assistance would be much appreciated!
Thanks

Does anyone have any suggestions? I don’t have any mods loadedThat top line just means “something bad happened”.
If you can paste the top ~50 lines or so from the xxxx_crash.txt file, in ‘\Falcon BMS 4.37\User\Logs’, that would be helpful as a first step.
(Or paste the whole file into https://pastebin.com/ or similar.)

@wazza69 that’s not a dump file

I’ve had crashes happen on ENTERING SETUP (not when changing rez) a couple times in the last few years and I had to backup all my config files and reinstall BMS, then replace my important files. after that I was able to enter setup no prob

Thanks, that was my problem too - crashing going into setup. Like you, reinstalling it resolved the issue
