GBU54 is it loftable?
-
maybe a stupid question : GBU54 is it loftable?
I didn’t succeed to reach to drop with 30 degres angle of loft …I can’t reach the the solution cue
-
You are able to loft the GBU-54. One of the squadrons in our group (ProSkies) has performed several test flights to evaluate the loft parameters of the GBU-54 and have found it to be very effective against certain targets.
-
@suhkoi69 the key is to climb a bit shallower at first couple of tries.
-
anything lofted will end up with a longer range

As the vertical steering cue VSC doesn’t display for GBU 54, you can miss the drop!
by the way, I recently discover an interesting thing : fuzing option plays a new role… see below
If a MK-82S, MK-82SBA, MK-36, BSU-49, BSU-50, or BSU-50B is selected with NOSE as the fuzing option, LO DRAG is displayed along with NOSE adjacent to OSB 18
The munitions will be recognized as loftable munitions, and loft symbology will be displayed on the HUD.
If any of the mentioned weapons is selected with NSTL or TAIL as the fuzing option, HI DRAG will be displayed. The munitions will be is recognized non-loftable munition, and loft symbology will not be displayed on the HUD. -
There’s no loft symbology for IAMs? A 54 is as “loftable” as a 38.
