Dogfight/MRM problem.
-
Hello,
I am having problems with Dogfight (d) and MRM (m) modes.
When i try to enter any of those modes i have to press and hold “d” or “m” to stay in those modes, as soon as i depress the key i go back to nav mode.
Any one has experienced this problem? How did you manage to solve?Thank you.

find
falcon bms.cfgset g_bHotasDgftSelfCancel 0 // set to 1 = SRM and MRM override callbacks will call the override cancel callback for you

Other way round ?

^No, self cancel (on==1) ==> cancelled automatically if the original switch condition is removed. This is the easiest way to generate physical cockpit switch with “hold” condition. Otherwise you would need three way switch with trigger statements, and risk incorrect switch position.
M on ==> Missile Override. M off ==> autocancel. D on ==> Dogfight override. D off ==> Self cancel.

No it is the other way around for what the OP wants. He needs to set it to 0.

HeXx is using the keyboard (keys D and M) so surely the self cancel needs to be off. I tested that by turning mine ON and got exactly the problem he described.

Sigh. Gear5 has made a cut/copy from the config file. The comment (“//”) comes from there. If the OP understands what it says, he can select what ever is needed.

Thank you guys, i did manage to find out about this problem shortly after i posted it on the forums. And what you said is right, i must set it to off (0).
I was using previously the Mode switch on the Saitek X-65F to use for MRM/NAV/DOGF so i didn’t really notice any difference until i changed to a hat button.Thank you mates.

HeXx,
I’m using a Saitek X-65F.
How do I program the Mode switch for MRM/NAV/DOGF?
Or anyone else with an X65F or other Saitek with a mode switch for that matter? Thanks Alligin.

Create an advanced command that presses M when you enter mode 1, C when you enter mode 2 or 3, and D when you enter mode 4.
Make the modes 2 3 and 4 all mirror mode 1 (fallback to mode 1 for unprogrammed, leave them all unprogrammed)
