Empty Shell View

Is there a way to remove the shell view and just leave the HUD and still pan with Track IR?
Thanks!

Does anyone know how to do this???!?!? I have been trying to figure this out!

in the bms keyfile there is a callback for that, but dont know if is it assigned for a key yet, I will find my statement today.
here is my callback, assigned to “CTRL + 0”
OTWToggle3DEmptyShell -1 0 0XB 2 0 0 1 “View-Toggle empty cockpit shell”

Hmm, a former “1”-view with Track IR? Haven’t seen this. You would mess up your situational awareness and could do no cockpit work (or you had to memorize hundreds of keybord shortcuts). Not suitable I think.

Yes It is, with a good homemade cockpit!

Nope you will get better SA :-), but this here Callback is only intended for guys there have a full physical cockpit. this callback is the same as in 3D view, but with hud only, so you can look around, but you have no 3D pit on the screen.
Try to get over that “1” view, its so limited, and you just cat fly your jet by looking at the 12 o´clock view all the time.
Just my 2 cents.
nb. and the thread was not to answer personal views here, it was to help with a callback there could do what scooternutz and Undergod asked for.

It looks like this in BMS:
You can do the same thing in Open Falcon using Aeyes’s transparent pit but it looks a lot nicer in BMS as the bottom of the plane isn’t transparent.
