MFD Shimmering
-
Just built a new box and everything seems to running great, didn’t get a new monitor though.
The only thing that is bothering me is a little bit of a shimmer in the MFD’s in pit.
Is this a gpu or a monitor issue.
i7 4790k 4.0 ghz
Liquid cooled
Z97 motherboard
R9 380 gpu
8 gb ddr3
Monitor is 20" hp2009
Resolution is 16 x 9Getting 40 fps at Seoul day one campaign with tgp on
70 fps in TE’s
Any help will be appreciated.

Hi,
You may try to play with transparency anti-aliasing setting in your video card setting menu. It works well to suppress lines shimering on MFD but cost a lot in performance…
Best regards,

Thanks Pierre
I think I can just live with it
Don’t want to sacrifice performanceBirddog out

16x10 is not a rez but a aspect ratio.
Native Resolution for that monitor is 1600 x 900 @ 60 Hz, is that what you set in BMS Set up page
With simple math that makes you Aspect Ratio 16:9

I’m not sure if this is relevant as you didn’t include a screenshot or video but perhaps worth a try: https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?23979-Shimmering-on-coastal-areas-with-ATI
