Are your MFDs BLANK after change master mode? Read here

Actual Z and X have not done that in BMS in a long time. However you can map them as “launch CMS program”. Unfortunately you need to find that line in the key-file yourself. I think the keyfile is written quite clear, so you should see the CMS commands easily using Falcon4 options screen.

Reset on EWS page will do same. Loads EWS defaults, then save.

Ok thx very mutch

sorry again for the out of topic, but what’s the default keyboard button for CMS up down left right? and then what do Z and X actually do? in game option say cockpit drop chaff/flare but now we know that they are not?
I actually set up mode 5 to 1 chaff and mode 6 to 1 flare, then i assign Z and X to mode 5 and mode 6 (CMS left and Slap Switch) with an additional key to run selected program (1~4). Thus i can manually release chaff/flare or execute the preset program at any time with a single keystroke.
Though i find that chaff/flare are really useless against R-73/AIM-120/R-77 etc… I’ve done notching (3/9 o’clock beaming) and fly at quite low altitude (dust raising) while releasing lots of chaffs, but the R-77 still flew towards me. I thought that was because i activated the ECM so the missile can use HOJ, but then i closed the jammer and R-77 still had the track and i could only avoid the missile by outrunning it.

Thanks, that was going to be my first question……steep transition curve from AF or FF!.

I simply set program 4 and the nearby cockpit switch to override, so I have 1 chaff and flare hitting y or x (I know, I could separate them, but for nearing a heavy defended target both are better, also in A/A encounter).
@HoneyFox: the 3/9 rule is not as effective as taking the missile on 45° left or right. Background: holding the missile at 90° was effective when missiles flew straight toward the target, but now they fly a trajectory course toward a point where they calculate your aircraft will be in the future! If you put it to 45° and break into it at the right time (and achieve to get a course in the opposite direction much easier), the missile is not able to follow.
Of course, it works better against fast missiles than such ones having already lost speed and finding the right time to break is very hard. I put together a sketch within a minute by mouse (if they see it at work, I’ll be fired ) This should make it clearer.Sorry for OT here

Thank you.

I discover the thing that names tws up and down will draw you a box in the limits of the , when you have the box in your little screen left or right, you can move the cursos when the box is. you can setup this in the controller config.

YouTube is your friend. Especially with this sim. Even getting hellfires off can be a challenge if you don’t play the sim regularly.

Thx for clarification. It was actually a good learning experience to configure master modes in the cockpit, now I’ll go back and use the DTC method.
