Voice Command Checklist for Falcon4 bms (Updated!)
-
Interesting for software that could be used with aircraft support crew chief for external checks and verifications , for taxi, preflight final checks-hot zone, parking points
also for jfs doors , flaps, ailerons,

Okay - I’ll upload it somewhere else - though I’ve been busy testing, as since update 6, which I only applied a few days ago, my sim doesn’t seem to be working like it should any more.
I just reinstalled with the complete installer and find I can only set control assignments on my stick and not any of my other controllers. They seem to assign, but they disappear again when I change back - even though I saved and applied. All the stick control assignments are okay, though - so it’s weird. Even the throttle assigns go AWOL.
Anyway, I’ll upload the start-up checklist somewhere else - on my own FTP site if I can get it to finally let me upload for public use.
When you use the list, if you select to use your voice to progress the list, I find you have to be very careful with the microphone level setting. Even though my mic is fine for TS3, VoxATC and other recognitions software, for this one it needs to be at a certain level or it has difficulty recognising some words. The way I deal with that is to have both voice and a key assigned for list progression - in my case Right Ctrl. Then if it doesn’t understand you, just press the key instead and it will go to the next item on the list.
I’ll report back when the file is up elsewhere.

link is fine for me

Okay - it’s now uploaded to Google Drive.
You should be able to download it without having to have an account or sign in:

GameFront file is still up, too - and by the look of the amount of downloads, it seems to be working for most people.

Here also is the most cockpit interior check - after engine start check.
you can have it as reference from

Just a newbie question: Does it work on WXP?
I am running WXP, and it does nothing when double click in the *.exe file. What am I missing?
Regards Metalhead -
You would have to ask Paul - he wrote the prog and you can get hold of him in the A2A forum linked to in the first post (and the readme file. I wouldn’t know how to access the functions in XP - it’s a long, long time since I used that OS and in Win7 the app is easily accessible via the notification area.
I have finally got my new installation working and have noticed a couple of minor terminology errors in the list (not the sequence or anything vital - just what I’ve called a couple of switch settings). I’ll change the audio files as necessary and re-upload the new package by tomorrow afternoon. I’ll post here when the corrected one is up.
Things like saying “Master Arm to on” when in fact it’s just the lights master switch that needs flicking. Also setting the Aux Comms panel backup switch to “FC” when it should be to “UFC”, and the third error was calling it the “DED Sensor switch” when it isn’t a sensor at all. So just a couple of small things and simple to put right.
In fact, if all goes well, the corrected version will be read by none other than Cepstral’s “Millie” voice - a lot more ‘listenable’ than mine!
By the way - this start-up list is just exactly that - a quick way to start up the aircraft. Most people have their own variations and there are other things you may want to set up according to your own preferences or mission. I made this one a year or two ago, with reference to Gerry Abbot’s little video guide on You Tube. I just went through this exact checklist and it still works just as well as it has in the past - so no issues there. If you want to add your own bits or even write a new one for yourself and/or others to use, that’s great. In fact, this is just meant as an example of what it does, and I’m hoping someone will do a much better one for the other pilots here in time.
I still have several more to do, for DCS sims and several (read “a couple of dozen”) aircraft in FSX, along with some video examples for YT - so I’m going to be really busy.
btw - the controller assign issue is sorted
-
Okay - the whole thing has now been updated.
It’s still just your basic “Get me going” start-up procedure, but I have adjusted the phrases and also used the ATT voice “Charles”.
I wanted to use Cepstral’s Millie 8kHz - but her voice is too quiet, so it’s Charles instead - he did a pretty good job and has a good, clear, British voice (like the butler!) so he will do just fine, I think.
Download links have been added to the first post.
YT video will have to wait for now - but hope to have it done over the weekend.

ll sorted - video is back up

Hi,
Thanks for your efforts so far.
I suppose in real life the checklist is done by the pilot him/herself, so I see your checklist as a very good tutorial.
If I am not mistaken their will be communication between the pilot and the ground crew… they must be using a sort of checklist too.
I was wondering if someone has some knowledge about this and if it is possible to get this in a voice command checklist?Kind regards,
Eagleeyes

Thanks for your comments.
The only conversation between the pilot and groundcrew in Falcon 4 is done via the comms menu. There is a VAC (Voice Activated Commands) profile covering this, though in the start-up procedure it only covers having the chocks removed.
VAC is payware - though it can be used for a period on trial - and uses voice recognition to make virtual key presses. Someone has made such a profile and I’m pretty sure it is available for download on the VAC website. I have my own variation on that, but it wouldn’t be suitable for public consumption.
I do recommend VAC very highly - it’s well worth the price and you get all future updates free. I bought it years ago and there have been lots of excellent functions added since, at no extra cost.

Hi JDUK,
Could you check both links on GameFront and Google Drive. For me they don’t work. Thanks.
-
I cleaned out my account recently and probably deleted it as it’s been up some time. Gamefront deletes files if they are not downloaded for a set period of time.
I take it you wanted the profile as well as the prog?
I’ll reupload it and update the link.
Just want to reiterate that this is not meant to be the full and accurate start-up procedure, it’s just to show how the program works and what can be done with it
OK - here ya go:

This uses my own recorded voice checklist phrases - if you’d prefer MS Anna (and who wouldn’t?) just delete the voice folder “Falcon 4” and it should default to her.
-
Thank for the effort JDUK.
Looks like it’s still popular. File could not be downloaded by me because of exceeding current download limitations.
Will check back later. -
That’s really strange! I hope none of my other uploads were popular, because there’s no stats from Google for me to see how many times a file has been downloaded, or when, and as I said, I just cleaned out a lot of stuff.
Anyway - I’ve uploaded it to my old Filefront account as well:
http://www.gamefront.com/files/24496307/SVC+Falcon4bms±+MYVOX.zip
Shouldn’t be a problem getting it from there
-
Got it. Thanks.
-
You’re welcome - hope it’s of use.
