Free Track drops 50% FPS
-
I wonder why Free Track drops 50% FPS?
It does not do this only in dog fight. All the rest, it does.
Anybody has the answer, or a way to fix this?

Cpu loading due to the analysis of the images, I had the same problem with my old pc.
Try to use facetracknoir with the freetrack plugin seems to be lighter -
Yeap cpu load.
Best solution is to assign CPU cores per app. that way BMS will have clean cores and freetrack the other. Best for 4 cores so that u leave 2 cores for BMS one for freetrack and the other for the system. -
BMS works fastest on Windows with 3 cores FYI. I-Hawk said so

Second, How do I assign a core to an APP?
I will write here the specs of this S__t machine… lol
Intel Pentium D 805 CPU 2.66GHz
Wxp 32 bits
2GB RAM 500 GB Hd
Nvidea 9500 GT 1 GB
also Free track and thrustmaster Tflight hotasX
and a Playstation Gasmepad with another functions and buttons
Let me know if you need something else in order to recognize this system.

Well my friend, I really appreciate your reply, and instructions, but you are talking to a noob, and ignorant in computer programming, so please, can you give me a little easy information to understand… lol
Thanks, -

% perl -e ‘warn((1 << 1) | (1 << 2) | (1 << 3))’
14 at -e line 1.Assigns to cores 1, 2, 3 (ordinals start from 0):
cmd /k start /affinity 14 “Falcon BMS.exe”

I’ve been using this for a while now, http://bitsum.com/processlasso/
The thing I like about it is that you can assign cores to a particular program and it remembers them. Sp you can test with different cores selected, different priorities, etc…
Every time you run that program again it remembers the CPU Affinity and the process priority.
I can see everything running and the processor/memory usage and kill off whatever I don’t need for gaming.
So I run FaceTrackNoIR on 1 core and the sim on the other ones.
For BMS I really don’t need to do anything but I get ~7-10 higher FPS in DCS World by assigning it with 2 cores and everything else on the other 2 and Gaming mode turned on. -
just 2 quick searches in Google:
http://btoforums.com/showthread.php?p=16033http://blog.tune-up.com/windows-insights/assign-processor-affinity-to-improve-performance/
These two links helped a little, but I have followed the second link, and I saw little increase in the performance.
Well, all we know My computer is not good enough for Falcon, or any other new software, but I am glad, for what I have seen happen.
Thank you very much, you all, for the quick replies. helped a lot.
I will keep testing, now multiplayer, and see what happens.

Sorry for double post…. The solution was to buy new hardware… Now it works fine…
