Logitech Extreme 3D Pro - insufficient deadzone for rudder

I have this low-cost joystick, that has very low resolution axis for rudder, so even with deadzone set to high and saturation also to high, it is still not enough. Is there any way, for example by changing some configuration files, to raise the deadzone even more?

My friend had the same issue and used a program called “Logitech Profiler”

Profile for logitech software. Just put file in the profiles folder.
Must be like this : C:\Users%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Logitech\Logitech Gaming Software\profiles

Does this solve the “sliding” problem?
I experience problems where the plane “slides” around at weird moments. Now that could be turbulence or thermals, but i am not even sure if that is modeled in BMS.
It usually stops after a second or 2, but it keeps coming back.
I have no other way to describe it other than sliding. The nose of the aircraft slides left, right up or down a bit and then stabilises.
It happens after movement, but also spontaneous during level flight. -
I had dame joy in the past. I disabled rudder axis with the phisical lock and used NWS/keys. It was unflyable other way.

If you use the profiler software and point to falcons exe not the launcher your dead zones will work just fine.

I have tried both the Profile provided and my own custom profile with the program (pointed to the original Falcon 4.0) and still no luck, I can wiggle the stick causing the rudders to go crazy. On other games like FSX or DCS I simply just use the in game deadzone and it works just fine. Please Help!

Not sure what you mean by “(pointed to the original Falcon 4.0)”.

I disabled the twist action rudder in my joystick and made it keyboard only. You go to the controller settings, click on advanced, then click on the “Flight control” tab and down underneath where it states “Rudder Axis”, I click on the drop down menu and set it to keyboard. The control over the aircraft is a million times better without it.

My G940 rudder was reporting “spikes” until I’ve removed bottom cover from pedals base. The potentiometer is supported from below by stiff plastic circle that is part of that cover and after some time of usage, connection between potentiometer axis and it’s slider starts to get loose against rest of potentiometer, so any pressure on pedals and connected to it potentiometer axis causes disconnection of slider from the stiff-mounted base of potentiometer, and in effect You can encounter spikes.
Originally I’ve just torn off that plastic potentiometer support from base cover and in the place sticked some dark grey foam that boxed notebooks are packed with, but even this foam seems to be too stiff and spikes was happening, so eventually, I’ve just removed bottom cover, and now it works perfectly, potentiometer is holding in the place, without sliding off down. -
I am surprised that the only fix for this redder problem is to disable the rudder axis. I get the “flutter” as well randomly throughout flight when the rudder axis senses any movement even with the deadzone on high. Has anyone else had luck with pointing that profiler to the the game and manipulating it that way?
Update: I downloaded the compatible version of Logitech Gaming Software which has the 3D Pro profiler in there. Had a little trouble point it to the correct exe file, however for those wondering, it’s in the 4.33 root folder, bin, x64.
I set the deadzones and sensitivities for the all the axes and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The rudder is no longer a problem! Woohoo!

I switch the Z-axis twist option off for the rudder and use the keyboard for rudder/NWS, so much better
