Airbase operating even when non-operational

Hello all,
yesterday I’ve been playing and discovered this odd bug. Kunsan airbase (my home airbase in the campaign) was bombed several times. In the process all the runways (there is only one runway at Kunsan, rest are taxiways) were destroyed. But the game allowed my flight to normally proceed and take off, even though that there were craters in the middle of the runway. So i flew the mission and returned back (only to hit one of the craters during landing). The control tower proceeded normally and gave me vectors for landing even though the airport was non-operational.
What’s even more odd that the AI flights are being planned and are departing/landing normally, all the planned missions are available.
NOTE: I know that this works normally most of the time, eg. home airbase gets bombed, all missions are scrubed, engineering platoon appears at the airbase and they start fixing the runways. After the runways get fixed, missions are being planned again. Perhaps this is some specific problem with Kunsan or something.

Strange because i had a mini campaign organized and we flew from Kunsan as well.
on day 1 we scrambled while the airbase was Under attack and the TE was saved at the end to organize day 2 TESo day 2 TE started with a destroyed runway 18/36 and the AI were cleared to take off and went flying but we as human spawn with section of the runway not fully repaired, we were bumped back to the UI, no way I could get into 3D until i repaired the runway with mission commander
furthermore to that, our plan as human was to take off from the alternate runway: 06/24 at Kunsan, which works great for that, but the ATC of course dosen’t know that taxi C is actually an alternate runway

I can confirn this bug I experienced in Iron Fortress campaign. As I can remember many other people reported it. When will be fixed? Is this code issue? As long as exist creating a balanced and functional campaign is impossible.

that big taxiway at kunsan is the old, and current emergency, runway actually.
i havent gotten into the campaigns a whole lot yet, or at least havent had a blue base bombed–does hitting a crater do what youd expect?

Should I test individually all AB in TE what happen if I destroy them? What is the guarantee that in TE and campaign will happen the same…? I do not understand how can it be that a so major bug is not tracked down and fixed.

Should be fixed next version.
Fixed in 3D for sure : a/c in recovery procedure are diverted.
However, I didn’t had time to check in 2D yet.

Roger. If I understand right this is a code issue not DB / campaign file check is required.

Well does it affect only airbases or the damaged - destroyed flag is ignored in general? I don’t have such indications but since it’s there (as ppl say) for Airbases and airbases are objectives it could as well affect others too???

i was cleared into home plate landing and touched down, aerobraked for a few seconds and blew up because of runway damage… why was i cleared in and not told to divert due to unusable runway…oh and all the ai ac in front of me landed just fine… rolled right over the damage!!!

what really sucked was that i actually dodged 3aa missiles and about 5 sam launches and bombed my target and took out 2 mig 23’s and outran the rest, got home thinking how this is gonna be one of my bets missions ever. great approach, beautiful touchdown….then i remember thinking " i’m gonna get some good points for this miss…WTF JUST HAPPENED!!!" and a single teardop!:shock:
