Cleaned Master Caution display ?
-
Hi,
Do you know where can I find a dedicated .dds for the “Master Caution” display or how to get one ?
I would like to replace the existing one that looks “used” by a “cleaned” one.
Below a simulation of what I 'd like (and probably many of us):Thanks
-
8001.dds inside C:\Falcon BMS 4.32\Data\Terrdata\objects\KoreaObj

8001.dds. OK, good to know.
Remain to find a “cleaned one”. I investigate and will come back if I found it.By the way where can I find a list of dds files and what they represent (my LOD editor lists only dds from CT#1 to #3828 ) ?
I also would like to find the one managing the sticker “Eject seat” yellow label on front of the seat that is almost erased (it is not in the 8001 file). tks

Get XnView (free) for Windows, open the texture directory in it. You’ll just have to browse through and see. http://www.xnview.com/en/xnview/

Hi Phait,
OK. I have the editor xnView, I found the 8001.dds file and the Master Caution image.
I have Photoshop too.
So now, how to proceed to improve the image.
I presume that I have to edit it in a graphic editor like Photoshop then save it as dds again.Question : in XnView can I simply do a Save as in keeping the current settings (I see e.g. a quality level of 80%, not 100%), the file can be saved in jpg with a sampling 2x2,1x1 (default), keep exif and icc data.
Then I upload the file in PS to modifiy the specific Master Caution logo then save it again
I open the resulting image in Xnview again and save it this time as .dds.
It is correct ?
Thanks -
the dirtiness is what makes the pit more realistic (i.e. the dust and fingerprints on the MFDs)

Hi,
Here is the Master Caution display that I “cleaned” a bit.
- Original product: 8001.dds file from Falcon BMS 4.32 Update 7
- Author :Thierry Lombry
- Contact : by email
- Product provided : see below image and file.
and the modified 8001.dds (copy paste the link in your browser to download the 4097 KB file to your local disk):
http://www.astrosurf.com/luxorion/Temp/8001.ddsBackup up your original file then copy the dds file in
[Falcon directory]\Data\Terrdata\objects\KoreaObj\Copy it also in your other theatre folders if relevant.
