Is it possible to extract my mfd’s and other panels to a windows 8 tablet? And if yes, how?
-
Is it running Windows RT or Pro?
Pro? Yes
RT? NoUse MFDE to extract the MFDs and whatever other instruments you’d like.

It is running Pro, thanks
I’ve installed the program, but can I also control the MFD’s from the tablet?
-
No, only display with MFDE.
You could adapt a number of the touch interface programs that are out there to put touchable buttons around the extracted MFDs, but I don’t think anything exists pre-built. I may be wrong. I have a 2nd monitor and Thrustmaster MFDs, so I haven’t really followed it that closely.
Edit: I did a quick search and Helios is Windows software. You may want look at that.
Crap, now I have to build a ICP using my 8" tablet…

Thanks, I will look for further options.

I don’t know if Gigurra’s GPT works on Win8Pro but give it a go. It would do the job

I did this with the MFD exporter program. Not Gurra’s. It worked just fine.

If you use Helios on a second monitor you can use tight vnc server/viewer to export it to your tablet. Tightvnc allows you to send keystrokes back to Helios giving you control. I did this with Helios on my Win8 tablet.
