Hornet DDI
-
I am currently doing a personal “flyoff” between the Viper cockpit in the Hornet( which I had been flying for awhile), and the Hornet 'pit . I’m having trouble consistently bringing the DED up on the UFC. No problem putting it on the HUD. I know it’s a DED brightness knob issue, but the knob in the Hornet pit doesn’t work.
In previous versions of BMS my workaround was via keyboard command (shift +alt+z, I believe) .It doesn’t see to work in 4.33.1, at least not consistently. In, fact, getting the DED up at all(except for HUD) is a haphazard matter.
While I’m here, I have noticed that while my HOTAS programmed flap switch moves the flaps, the switch in the Hornet pit doesn’t move unless I click it. What I mean is,when I do my HOTAS parking brake switch, for example, the switch in the 'pit “moves itself”. That’s not true for the flap switch. -

Same for me and IIRC its a known issue.

Thx, Mower. It may seem trivial but the reason I’m considering the Hornet pit is because of such as switch positions as flap/wingfold position.
What tricks can you share about the DDI issue? -
Airwolf…
I think i should be able to get you sorted on this…i had some issues setting up my hornet flaps and wing fold for my helios set up but i got it working. Shoot me a message on our forum and maybe we can work on it sunday afternoon if your available.

Thx, Slap, but I got it figured out last night.
In the 4.33.1 keyfile (control+alt+z) is" DED cycle". That was what was mapped to my HOTAS, I noticed that" Light: DED step up…" did not have a key assigned. So, I mapped it to shift+control+alt+z and I got the DED to “brighten”.
So, the Great Cockpit Flyoff continues…
