Korea Campaign Issues: A-G target gone
-
Hi Guys,
I am playing BMS 4.32 for a while now and really enjoy the sim. Except for a major headache the standard campaign (Korea, Tiger Spirit) is giving me. So I was thinking it might be a good point to ask for advice, as I don’t know if I am doing something wrong or if there is a bug in the system somewhere.
My mission was a Deep Strike to take out a Nuclear Power Plant with GBUs. Alright, in the mission screen I took a look at the target, found a nice power plant with large buildings and cooling towers, even marked target steer points and started up the jet eventually.
Closing in on the target I referenced my target steer point and took a look at the TGP, there I wasn’t able to see anything meaningful, just blurred out white dots (WHOT) on the ground, no buildings and whatsoever. Slew around a bit with the cursor, zoomed in and out but wasn’t able to make anything up. Maybe I did something wrong on that point. Me already frustrated descended from angels 25 but was not able to see anything (even with NVG in the night) and was eventually shot down by AAA.
So I would be very happy for advice, as I think that it’s frustrating to fly out 30 minutes and don’t even find a target.
Other than that I noticed that there appear strike missions to targets that are 0% operational, but that might be a different story
Thanks,
TobiEdit: As I a new to the forum I just recognized that there is a Korea sub-forum, if any mod feels like moving the post: thank you and sorry

If you had the steer points on a static target set up correctly, and didn’t find anything, it sounds like someone got there before you. The ATO will often create multiple strike packages on a single target, probably to make sure at least 1 AI reaches it(?), so it’s possible that another aircraft dropped its payload and leveled the place just minutes before you got there…

Maybe a bubble issue? Ground objectives are node-based just like battalions. If you’re not seeing a specific sub-building of a building node it could be the node failed to deaggregate.

Thanks guys. I was thinking the same. Especially I couldn’t out rule that due to the night flight and usage of the IR TGP modes there was some kind of display problem going on. Wasn’t able to check in TV mode if there is anything because of the darkness. When I wanted to go visual on the target I was unfortunately shot down, so I couldn’t verify…
One more question please: is the campaign in Israel Theater more enjoyable in single player concerning these things (senseless missions, missing targets, etc?). I am thinking about leaving the old Korea stuff.
