Cpu heats up in main menu
-
hi,
can anybody explain why my cpu heats up in game menu’s but during gaming it self
it drops down alot.game menu 43->46 celsius
flying 36->38 celsiusand is there something to do about it?
my pc is a amd phenom II x3 720
with 4 gb ddr2
and a asus gtx460 direct cu top -
nope u can’t do anything. Falcon in the GUI seems to top up the cpu like 100%.
-
leave the main menu
-
That’s the way it tells you to go flying

thats seems not to be the case… that cpu is 100 %
watch screenshot of my speedfan/ taskmanager and msi afterburner
-
FalconAF?
-
yess sorry for that but i forgot to upload the cpu temp en stress picture of falcon BMS 4.32…
to let you guys see no 100 % use of cpu but too much heat for a menu
and the difference between falcon 4.0 BMS 4.32 and his little brother or sister how you want to call it falcon 4.0 AFor have the temp issue to do that i run windows 7 64 bits and the sim is 32 bit?
i also use the 4 gb patch -
question is:
is it to OCCUPY one core - or is it just a flaw?
- I know that it is a miracle to get these looks out of the old UI, but …
do not care: it is just a warm up training for that core
-
well in speed fan i see mostly core 2 and 3 loaded with falcon 4.0 AF, in BMS well most of the time with alt tab i can’t go alt tab back to the game again even with holding alt tab 1 second or 2 longer
-
use window mode. put -window in the shortcut.
-
i fixed some issue’s with BMS … the menu’s are now stable and no heating up and no lag anymore
32 *celsius at the moment.but in game i had to turn off bloom and shaders heat waves and dubble cockpit resolutions displays… config menu before starting the game i mean
but this is not correct… other games like tombraider 2013, crysis 2 and 3 with shaders no problem
and bms causin heat problems with the shaders and post processing and bloom and heat waves.here is a list of games that i run with out any problems with the same system specs.
ARMA 2
battlefield 3
crysis 2 and 3.
tombraider 2013
wings of prey/birds of prey
lock on flamming cliffs 2.
il 2- 1946 and cliffs of dover
stalker 1, stalker 2 and stalker 3 even with directx 10 option, stalker 1 gets directx 10 option by using a mod. and even then i don’t got issue’s
fsx acceleration with directx 10 option enabledbut yet BMS 4.32 i need to turn off post processing and stuff.
how come?? -
and how exactly u fixed it for the UI?
How come?well it’s the Falcon way.
the UI was discussed in the past. Dev’s didn’t work on it much as to spend time on more important stuff.
Have in mind Falcon UI ain’t something simple… well nothing is simple in Falcon…

On the hardware side……
Your AMD CPU runs hot, they all do. Its how they work.
Real question is, regardless of CPU temp, whats your GPU framerate?
If your GPU isnt up to par, it will load off anything it cant handle to the CPU.
Just my 2 cents.
-
I’m glad that I have AMD- they might get hot, but they don’t burn as often as the intel’s of my brother did
But seriously, my CPU (AMD X4 760K) doesn’t even reach 20% in the UI, so I don’t think there is any problem at all.
-
well my amd phennom II x 3 720 is other wise cold…
i have a antec skeleton as system tray… with a big 250 mm big boy fan… on top.
so it cools my mobo, my heatpipes off my asus gtx 460 direct cu top <runs 10-15=“” %=“” cooler=“” then=“” the=“” normale=“” asus=“” gtx=“” 460.<br=“”>my vid don’t even get to 42 degrees celsius.
i also own a program called kerbal space program and thats very heavy for cpu because every inch of things you build will be calculated every 6th of a second compairing with heat structural physics
and that program don’t even get near 46 degrees celsius… on high load.so there must be some issue’s on some systems regarding UI…
normally its the video background or that movie file you can make with brink video thats common used in games mostly before 2008
but falcon 4.32 don’t use those kind of menu style… soi really can’t say what the problem can be…
but i think for some pc configurations it seems not to like it.
but now its running in menu 32 degrees celsius with room temp of 23-26 degrees celsius.in compair with 46 degrees celsius in ui…
like i sayd the other games that i run are in compair with falcon bms 4.32 cold…thats why i asked why is this… with such a old engine in compair like arma 2 or crysis 2 or 3.
this is how i config it in launcher option</runs>
-
And the problem is?
-
1 thing more the cpu temps drops back when its in flight… strangly because my pc is more at work then at ui.
so with the game and all of the 3d its nothing wrong !!but still it concerns me when i want to build missions and testing new campaigns etc…

invidia inspector locked on 60 frames per second,
and my amd cpu is otherwise not running hot… it stays below 42 degrees celsius in other more heavyer games then falcon 4.0 bms.
cpu using much at UI near 60 % and during flight not more then 28 % with peaks at 35 %
