CH Pro and DX
-
Hello Forum.
I’m considering changing from the Saitek X52 Pro to the CH Pro (stick and throttle)
I’ve given up trying to get the Saitek software to operate properly. I won’t comment on their help desk!
I can’t get the “modes” to work and there are unused buttons, rotaries and of course the mini stick.Anyway, I prefer to use DX mapping using only, with the BMS set up method. (I am of the “Keep it stupidly simple” school.)
My question; can ALL the buttons on the CH stick and throttle be mapped using DX and BMS set up only?
Secondly, and finally; I’ve been reading the Forum post by Falcom (May 7th '16).
His illustration shows each DX function with a shift option.
Can this shift function be achieved in DX, without using the CH software? Is it the Pinky button?Thank you.

Hi Bayonet,
I fly BMS with CH products pro throttle and Fighterstick and definitely agree with your “keep it simple” philosophy. I was able to use all buttons DX and BMS setup except for the middle four position hat on the throttle (just behind the thumb joystick). This hat was easy to program with a basic key assignment in the CH software, it does require an activation download before each simming session however. (So in my case I programmed it to do HSD scale, fore and aft, and transmit UHF or VHF, up and down).I never felt the need for any shift functions. The button on the stick used by some for shift (upper right) is perfectly setup for DX msl step/nosewheel steering/AR as in the real Viper.

To answer your first question, just take a look at
<yourfalconfolder>\Docs\Key Files & Input\Joystick Setup Guides\CH Fighterstick & Pro Throttle
There is a guide how to setup your CH product correctly.
Shift state is of course possible and yes, it is triggered by the Pinky button.</yourfalconfolder>
