Key Command Help
-
Hey guys, I’m working on rebuilding my busted key mapping file. Can anyone help me figure out how to toggle the CMS Mode switch into BYP so I can manually drop them? There are key binds for the other mods on the switch, but not for this one.

Hi ASharpe: I’d recommend you to see this topic https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?10821-Keyfile-editor-Alpha-Release!
Directly From Key Editor “SimEWSModeByp : Refers to the countermeasures mode knob on the CMDS panel. This command places the knob in the BYP (BYPASS) position. This mode allows the pilot to release one chaff and one flare for each action on the CMS forward. It is a backup mode used when the EWS fails. (new BMS4.0)”
For example, I have assigned it to Shift+ctrl+atl+B and I get
// Created 28/08/2014 1:35:50 in Keyfile editor.
SimEWSModeByp -1 0 0X30 7 0X0 0 1 “SimEWSModeByp”Hope it helps

Keystroke.key shows almost the same (except is CTRL-SHFT-x): SimEWSModeByp -1 0 0X2D 3 0 0 1 “EWS-Mode Bypass”

Ah, I couldn’t make out what byp stood for, so after some digging here and discovering comms left is now off on, figured I was just missing something. I prefer the bypass Mose when dogfighting, and since my jet is reset every time I go down I am trying to map all the switches I hit when I get in so I can get in the fight faster.

This is very frustrating, absolutely ridiculous, and completely unnecessary.
