Track ir 5 install

does it make any difference if I install the software in program files x86 folder, which it defaults to. or c:/ folder

No don’t think so, I have it always installed in the default folder (in fact, installed it there today on my new rig), never had any problems.

Windows UAC admin-protects the files in a few locations, program files (and it’s x86 cousin) are among them so it may make a difference.

If installed in a different location, won’t UAC pop-up? Thought that had to do with the application software, not the location. The only benefit would be one mouse-click less then, it won’t effect the software it self, or am I wrong?

UAC shouldn’t pop up in either case. It will ask if the program attempts to secure admin rights which it won’t by default. The latest (last few months) version moved the profile directory out of the program path to the user path. There should be no harm in leaving TrackIR in the default path.

thanks for the replies guys, I was only asking as it shows in task manager that it is running in 32bit. Just wasn’t sure if it should be a 64 bit process.
