Planning - PPTs etc.

OK, so I’m a way off yet being campaign ready. Just curious to know if BMS now remembers mission planning settings between missions in campaign mode? From memory, lines and PPTs etc would reset each mission - is this still the case? I’m aware WDP is capable of auto creating them etc - is it possible for me to use WDP on a laptop to work on the active .ini file while the game is running?

I don’t know if you can keep previous mission PPT, or add them automatically, but personally, I would suggest not to do this anyway. Why?
- Not every PPT or steerpoint you placed for mission 1 is relevant to mission 2. Unnecessary clutter, and you may need the PPT/line for a more important item.
- Doing it right before the mission, makes sure you have the latest intel on position, status, … A lot can change in a very short time in campaigns.
- Actively searching intel and placing the PPT/steerpoint lines helps you remember or being aware of your tactical situation while you’re flying.
-
PPTs and lines are kept in data cardridge even if you restart BMS unless you enter on the campaign map and put new PTT or new line before clicking LOAD button in the cardridge window.
In opposition to Eagle-eye i like to work on same DTC but I rework/move some PPTs before every sortie if threat are killed or moved in other position or I plan my flight in completely different place. Then I move my FLOT line but using same line I see right away how the front progress.

That’s it exactly for me. If I have to make a lot of changes then i can use WDP

So just remember to click the LOAD button in DTC window in UI map before every flight and SAVE after changes (and keep the backup saved in WDP if you forget to load it or mess it up).

if you save your DTC and then load it again it should restore all of your previous PPT/lines, as long as the campaign file is the same.
as far as i can tell, it saves only when explicitly told to and on a per campaign/per TE basis.
