Remove wheel chocks
-
Hi, guys!
I just got the BMS 4.32 falcon yesterday. When I hit the t key to request the tower to the remove wheel chocks, wheel chocks won’t remove. How do I setup the radio in the cockpit to request the tower to remove the wheel chocks? Thanks!
Cheers,

tune to the correct tower frequency

BMS Manual in your \Falcon BMS 4.32\Docs\Falcon BMS Manuals folder.
p71 shows how to change radio frequencies, e.g.: if you’re at Kunsan press [COM1], [2], [9], [2], [3], [ENTR] on your ICP
p19 shows how to set up your data cartridge before you enter 3d so that you have a preset with the Tower frequency (if you prefer that to typing in the frequency)
If you really haven’t a clue how to set up the radio, then have a look at the Dash-1 manual (in the same folder) and go through the Ramp Start to get everything set up properly.

tune to the correct tower frequency
Actually you only need to be tuned to ANY tower freq. Obviously if you’re not tuned to the correct tower freq. then any other information passed to you QNH, Taxi instructions are going to be meaningless if received at all.

Focaldesign is correct . . . you gotta be on the tower’s frequency.
Asking the tower for chock removal has always made me snicker, because it’s the aircraft’s ground crew that performs this function. I suppose I can understand having to call the tower, because despite the BMS team’s drive for realism, pilot/ground crew coordination from arrival at the aircraft to departure would add an unnecessary level of complexity to the sim just to get off of the ground.

… Would have to add the “Remove safety pins” at the holding point in the same way.
