Windows 8.1

Hi,
I just wonder if I could use BMS on my Windows 8.1 version, do you have experienced problems? I don’t have installed 8.1 yet.
Thank-you.

The main problems youll find with version 8.1 and also with version X when its released is going to be with drivers and programming software for whatever stick or HOTAS you use. Its highly recommended that you do ALL editing of your .key file in a text editor and NOT in the game setup as the thing recodes some of the calls to SimRadarNextTarget.
Other faults you may come across will be inconsistancies with graphics drivers on desktops and if your using a touch screen that too may cause issues in the game so stick to the keyboard and the HOTAS for input. Its likely they will have a better idea of the setup for touch screen input when they have some and the drivers to play with at the coding centre.
If you do come across any issues please post them on here along with any crash logs etc.
Happy Flying and yes it does work on 8.1, 8 and windows X beta pack, however there are driver issues that will be resolved come release date.

I ALWAYS sugguest to install second HD (maybe a fast SSD; doesn’t have to be big, 80GB is more than enough) and install a clean W7 dualboot only with BMS for flying. It’s the best way to keep you’re FLBS (read Flying BMS System) in best condition and you don’t have to hassle with Drivers for sometimes exotic Sim hardware.
One of the main reasons: sometimes it happens that just a small driver updates will get you in trouble. Before updating you can make a quick image of your small SIM-Harddisk and you can easely going back to a state where your sim was working properly.
You don’t have install antivirus etc. there because for the dangerous stuff (browsing etc.) you have your main installation. So you can hold your Windows superclean and superfast there. You don’t even need these hundreds of Windows updates

No probs Win 8.1 update 1

No problem either. However, TM Cougar MFDs are a bit tricky to set up due to new power managment. But there is a workaround.

Same here…no problems at all.
