Impact timer
-
How do i know when the AIM-120 will go pit bull and at what time it should impact?
-
There’s a timer on the HUD (and I think the FCR page?) that shows a letter-number code.
The “A” countdown is to autonomous (HPRF), “M” to pitbull (MPRF), “T” to impact, or “L” to lose (impact doesn’t exist or beyond missile duration).

Hmm I haven’t noticed that. I’ll have look when I’m flying again.

Yep. Keep in mind that these numbers are computed by the fire computer onboard based on target speed, distance, etc…, and that actual time can differ slightly. It is possible to have a “LOSE” missile that actually impacts.

the timer in question is right under the indexer. note that if you are at medium range, you probably won’t see “A” it will instead skip right to “M” time to pitbull.

… slightly or more.
And it is the same for the HARM’s impact timer of the HAS/POS page.
