Air Mobile engineers to rebuild airbases

Hi everyone, I am writting to share my experience with air mobile, destroyed airbases and repairing them. On 1st day of campaign Kangnung airbase was destroyed. It was a pain in the ass since it was one of the three with F16. I wanted to have it repaired ASAP so I studied this post https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?14372-Ground-forces-supplies-critical-Airdrop to air mobile with C130 an engineer batallion to expedite the reconstruction of the airfield
What happened is the following:
1.- The air mobile works ok in 2D but not if I do it flying an online mission in 3D at the same time
2.- If I transport an engineer batallion at random I can NOT get it having as objective repairing Kangnung air base.
3.- If I move with mission commander an engineer batallion to Kangnung with the objective of repairing it, the air base gets operative (55% Repaired) at 5:20 am
4.- If I do nothing at all the aerodrome gets repaired at…… 5:20 am!
5.- If I air mobile an engineer batallion that has been assigned by AI to repair the aerodrome, the aerodrome gets repaired at… 5:20am.So in the end too much effort to get the same ressult by doing nothing! The only way is that being the campaign manager setting an air mobile to get the engineers at the aerodrome ASAP an them use Mission Comander to rebuil the air base some hours before.

I was under the impression that in BMS, airbases just get the effects of engineers repairing them, even without engineer units nearby.

Yo expect too much from BMS4. This is not AF and repair of certain objects and effects is one of the darkest thing is Falcon. Currently even the airbase status and ATO operations are buggy sometimes airbases with 0% state can launch air operations.

If we could get the Candy Man to mix AF & BMS I would be content, and all would be right with the world. Who needs world peace.

If I am not wrong … and If it is like it under 4.32 … you are correct! -> No need of engineers to get the repairs, but if you have a battalion on it, repairs will be much faster.
But not 100% sure, and not sure it is on 4.32. (?)

100% agree, Air base can have repaired runways but still be 0% operational. And it generates flights.

Last imput on this item. If I try to fly the Havcap scorting the c130 with the viper the c130 doesn´t pick up the Engineers. whereas in 2D the air mobile works OK. Shadow the airbase generates flights but It doesen´t allow you to fly from it until is 55% repaired. At least under my experience. Ant It takes same time to be at that point no matter Engineers are arround or not. Kind regards.
PS Is 4.33 going to improve the campaign engine? Any news about it? When is going to be realesed? Couple of weeks I guess.

None of 2D special features or AI supported things functional in case player fly with AC. As I know tankers cannot provide refual as long as player controls it, SOJ AC (EF-111A, EA-6B) do not have any effect, you cannot airlift in 3D world, etc.
