Hi! I'm extremely new here….Just got Falcon 4.0 by Microprose & need help w/BMS!

Hi everyone,
Sooo, I purchased the advanced version of Falcon 4.0: 27 chapter manual, map, cadet guide and all!
I heard about BMS and want to get it installed.
Also, I need to upgrade my joystick controller…currently I still have my Sidewinder by Microsoft! LOL
So, If I could get recommendations for both I’d appreciate it.
Looking forward to discussing with you and destroying you mid-air!
Thank you,
StefosP.S. I’m not rich so please don’t “recommend” a $400 flight setup! LOL
Thanks again -
Saitek X52 or X52 Pro are a good mid-level compromise. I’m sure there are others.
Also TrackIR is highly recommended; it’s very nearly required.

+1.
Some cheaper, homemade alternatives to TrackIr exists and do the trick though.

Check out the “Systems Requirements,” and go from there.
Assuming that you have the computer hardware/software suggestions, acquiring BMS ‘related’ hardware that you like shouldn’t put too much of a dent in your finances. It all depends on your needs vs your wants.

Before you go spending any more money be shore Falcon is your thing.
Use the Sidewinder learn to fly (most of us did), get your install setup, not everyone flies with TrackIR, its a luxury.
Go here for the BMS installer https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?29-Releases-amp-Updates
Its not necessary to install the original to get BMS working, but the installer requires you to show it you have a copy of the Original Disk.
Good luck.
