SANDBOX PROTECTION and CRASHES IT CAUSES
-
A lot of new Anti Virus and Firewall systems available today contain “Sandboxing” basically it runs a program in a virtual space instead of from the hard drive. I notice a lot of crash logs posted on here have file paths all containing “sandbox” in them which is why I thought Id give you flamers another chance to say Im wrong.
It is my experience that the same crashing in certain parts of the game that require access to files outside the sandboxed parts cause a CTD or BSOD. Therefore I added all the BMS exe files to my Anti Virus exceptions (folder as a whole where possible depends on anti virus type), Firewall exceptions for trusted programs (individual additions of each exe), trusted port activation for the main exe and for IVC client and server. This cures a lot of running issues on my system so it never crashes any more or needs to be run in compatability mode for XP SP3.
As for video drivers, try different screen resolutions or check the manufacturers site for a game profile or older driver set. Im sure someone will post a required driver set for your card somewhere in this thread, they generally do once youve got through the flaming and spam they love to stick in my posts.
Installing BMS after a full defrag used to be part of the falcon dance many years ago and still works today.
As with all my posts this is advice, take it or leave it.

Again, ALL the crashlogs will have “d/sandbox” in them because this is the path the exe was COMPILED, ie, in the dev’s computer.
Some antivirus can run programs in sandbox mode, but they will pop up a notification, so the user will definitely know.
I already pointed this out to Gyro in another thread and he still posts about it.

By the way, my (extremely rare) crashlogs mentions D:\Sandbox\ too, but I haven’t got a D:\ drive, only C for fixed and R for my optical drive. How would you explain this?

There are enough urban legends about Falcon4.0 … no need to add more.
Obviously you are far from being knowledgeable about Falcon4.
