Falcon BMS with Solit State Disk

SSD will eliminate microstutters and it will load faster. But no more FPS

Stuttering caused by HDD loading will be eliminated. If your drivers cause it, then it will not help at all.

If you want better FPS lose some of the ground clutter by the level of detail slider in the setup options. Trees and fences disappear moving from 6 to 5 that improves it. Losing some of the shadow effects also improves it in the shaders in config editor.
All an SSD does is gives you the magic 7.9 data transfer rate for hard drives in the MS windows experience. Plus at the time of writing this the max size of SSD is limited to 160GB so backup drives are recommended. As for the Hybrids, so far Ive installed 20 and had to replace 2 due to heat failures so make sure the drives mounted where it will keep cool.
This is advice, take it or leave it.

thanks to all
but i confused lot -

And at the time of this writing, plus 365 Days I’ve had a 260 GB SSD installed in my computer.
And, at the time of this writing, if you don’t want to take my word for it, Amazon has bundles of them all the way up to 1 TB.

Also completely flash. SSD drives store memory as flash instead of on a mechanical drive. This means that there is no disc spinning (IE: Mechanical Work) to access the data. Also, the drives are much more stable and much less error prone. This leads to a dramatically faster read time from the disc then on an old mechanical drive, and reduces the risk of failure due to either errors or a mechanical failure. Not that you should be dropping these drives, as they can still get damaged, they will absorb shock damage much better then other drives (including hybrids).
Note that I specifically called out read times - write times can vary. As the disks are usually an array of flash memory chips, most (good) SSDs will have internal software for handling the writing of the data in order to ensure that it wears all of the chips evenly, where a mechanical drive will simply write it in the first place that it can. Which is why you shouldn’t defrag a solid state drive. But you should also never need to, as the recall times for data on the drive should be fast enough that you would never notice an improvement from de-fragging. (Except Gyro to claim he has done this 40+ times on 400+ of his home machines and it ‘dramatically’ improved performance every time. But, as we’ve already proven twice in this thread, he’s clearly just lying.)
Seriously, stop making shit up.

so as a result
I should not get it
am i right or not ? -
Get it, it wont harm but you wont get FPS (least so much that you can notice.

thanks all

Agree. I definetly notice a difference in load speeds for Windows and F4 BMS, which are both on my small(ish) SDD.

What?

…… the poster asked
“if i install falcon on SSD hard disk.
Is it a performance difference.”He is on a Core2Duo Laptop of unknown speed with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 (M96) with 1024 MB or ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4530 (M92) with 512 MB or Intel GMA 4700MHD (UMA) with shared video memory.
Looks like it will carry two HDs But for a performance increase a SSD aint going to do much.
Or a 2 GHz AMD Turion X2 Dual-Core Mobile Processor RM-70 with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3450 Graphics
Komurcu what are the other specs.
He is on a Old Laptop (HP Pavilion DV7-1040) but Komurcu hasn’t stated which Model.
Upgrade your Memory.
Upgrade to Win7
Upgrade your HDBetter still build a Lo cost Desktop PC or even a second-hand/Used Desktop would run Falcon better.

Try to remember though Gyro actually made that post two years ago. The internet connection between Earth and the planet Zog (where Gyro clearly resides) has been very slow for ages now.

Thanks Gyro for making ASharpe proove his knowledge.
cheers.
