X52 PRO Cursor Slew
-
Hi,
Sorry for my poor english, i’m french.
I use the profile by Scuby.
With my X52 Pro i have a problem with the mini stick. In the profile is configure on Cursor Slew, but regulary i can’t use the mini stick left. Right, up, down, working correctly but left none. In BMS and SST profile is correctly configurate but in game that doesn’t work.
Have you a solution ?

The solution I used on my X52 was to use the cursors as DirectX axes.

Can you post how to do that exactly? I’d like to move mine, but I didn’t think BMS recognized them as ‘buttons’ in DX. Even if you can post your DX lines from the keyfile?
Also, X52 or X52 Pro (so I can figure out DX button numbers)?
Superleo, double check that the keyfile you’re using has the key presses for cursor slewing are the same as what is in the profile.

Well, BMS doesnt recognise them as directX, not without a little help. To get it to work is the registry edit where you add in the cursor axes to directX…. and in turn because that is 9 axes, you have to lose one. I typically recommend the twist rudder.
first step is identifying which file you need from http://falcon.blu3wolf.com - there are a few there for various Saitek sticks.
downloading it and double clicking it will add the file to your registry. Id recommend opening with a text editor first, to ensure it does what the author claims it does. You should never add random bits to your registry from the internet!
Once the registry files have been modified, start BMS and go to the setup>controllers>advanced window. You will need to add the new axes for the ministick, in the Avionics tab of that window, using the drop down menus.
Chances are you will also need to invert the vertical axis of the ministick, too.
Uninstalling it is possible but also outside the comfort zone if you are not familiar with registry editing, so please be certain you do not need a twist rudder before installing! Uninstallation is typically effected by opening the registry keys in question and deleting all of them, then reinstalling the stick - or if you are comfortable, simply renumbering the axes listed to leave the rudder number 2 again, and the ministick x and y axes as 7 and 8.

Hi,
I just tried this and it would help me very much if there wasn’t this one issue:
My ministick seems to be not centered and I cannot find any way to calibrate it. Is there any way I can put this there in the registry as well?
Or do you have any other idea?Thx man!

If there is only a small calibration issue, a deadzone is the easiest fix. Setting a small center deadzone can be done in the BMS advanced settings.
If there is a large calibration issue, then you would need to calibrate the stick. You can do this, but the way escapes me at the moment -.-
