Cougar DX Key question

Hi Im using Duncs DX key profile and I was wondering if it is possible to have a DX key assingment to a key press on the key board say F7 instead of to a call back in the game? I think I said that right, I was wanting to use the shifted layer on the T3 radio switch and not lose the DX function on the unshifted layer. Thanks for any help.

Would something like this work?

For some reason I thought I read that if the unshifted layer was DX that the shifted layer also had to be DX.
Ive been banging my head against the wall trying to figure this out for the last day and half.
After you set me straight it took about 5mins to set it up.
