We will keep on testing
Stand by for Report
Thank you Tom Catz for supporting this Theater with this new tiles -
Hello, Tom. This is my test short report (just my two cents, however).
All things went fine, I installed the new tiles on my Aegean installation (v1.1 theater plus 1.2 hotfix last released).
The details are a real charm, especially if seen in low level flying - the sea tides, the rocks and the shoals, I mean.
Only a question: it seemed I experienced a low frame rate peek down just before landings. Can you explain me that?
Some technical info for you:I have a Win 7 Ultimate system, CPU Intel i7-4820K @3.70 GHz with 32 Gb @1866 RAM and a nVidia GEForce GTX770 4 Gb video card, with the latest drivers installed.
This premitted, a nice good job done also this in any case.
Warm congratulations and to your next release! (Always awaiting the new full theater to come, of course)With best regards,
-
Textures are looking good, but too green IMHO (depending on the time of year you’re flying).
Tested take-offs from Samos and Crete, BMS crashed when exiting the sim, that one needs further testing though so it may not be caused by your hitiles.
Keep up the good work & all the best, Uwe

TBH I like the previous built best, not so saturated and with a less repeating look.
Then again, maybe my installation was incorrect on these.
I any case TomCatz work is impressive IMHO: Fast and a vast improvement, at least until BMS 4.33 arrives. -

ps: BMS U7 doesn’t crash after restoring the previous folders from a backup, so I guess it’s to do with the hitiles textures after all.
Cheers, Uwe
